ERROR COINS
Mistakes happen to everyone, and the U.S. Mints is no exception. The mint produces billions of pennies, nickles, dimes and quarters each year, so the odds of getting errors very high. Usually the error coins are removed through quality control techniques but some of the off center strikes and other error get by the Q.C. and are released ot the general public. Most of the error coins were probably produced deliberately, as the nature of the errors are cause for suspicion.
